I Just Realized

I just realized that while I had the picture up, I never actually showed Mortimer Mime fully made. I apologize. Here's my new little buddy.

If I had to go back and do it again I'd probably give him \ / eyebrows just because I think it would be funny to make him look angry. Otherwise I think he's fine. Yes, simplistic, but if you haven't noticed by now, I love simplicity. I feel there's an art to trimming down and making things as base as possible. I don't like clutter. I think the more simple something is, the harder someone had to think about it. "Simplify, simplify, simply!" as they say, or as the other famous quote goes "If I had more time I would have written a shorter letter." That's how I feel about my art / expression.

Webcomic #3: Mortal Ninja

I found some megaman sprites and edited them to look like Mortal Kombat ninjas and made this web-comic based off what I envisioned them doing in their time off. Enjoy.
I had a lot of fun with this so there's 9 in this comic. I do understand that they are not all the same size.

Because This Is Late I Thought I Would Give You A Treat

Since my book is late I thought I would make up for it by posting several different

ideas I've had and worked with. I am a very big fan of web-comics and have always

wanted to make my own so here are various ones that I've come up with since taking

the class.

TRIPOD (Tiny Random Insane Pictures Of Doom):

1 - Title

2 - Cakes

3 - Names

4 - Taco Babies

5 - Shakespeare

6 - Dupes

7 - Pants

8 - Fruits

9 - Back Cover / Author blurb

Book

My book will not be ready today. I am still working on the tweaks and finishing touches. It should be ready soon. I apologize.

Papercraft

HHere is my papercraft. Yes, it's simplistic but the only thing I could think of making was a mime, so that's what I did. I tried cutting / making it with normal computer paper and that didn't work out too well. I'm going to use photo quality paper for my next attempt over Thanksgiving break.

Scratch Art

Here is my scratch art project. Again I went with abstract ideals. This project basically was me testing out different layer effects tools like opacity and changing colors and such (I don't remember the specific names at the moment but they are on the drop down menu when you select a layer, like "overlay").

Are the red dots on the top left corner tail-lights or eyes?
